We are a church of about a hundred members from a wide range of ages and backgrounds, united by our faith in Christ. Roughly half our members live in Greenham; others live elsewhere in Newbury or beyond.

St Mary’s is the (Church of England) Parish Church for Greenham, with members from a variety of church backgrounds.

Our vision is to be a church where we:

Know we are all loved by God and love one another. Encounter the living God, Father, Son and Holy Spirit. Know Jesus and make him known. Are all encouraged to know our gifts and grow together as Christians. Can transform our community with acts of loving service and prayer Are all enabled and equipped to live out our faith daily, whatever our age or circumstances.

We believe the Bible to be God’s word, and seek to live by its teaching. We also believe god is alive and active through his Holy Spirit and that spiritual gifts are for today.

We have two different styles of worship. At 9.00am, there is a traditional Communion service, sometimes with organ and well-known hymns. The main 10.30am service is informal, with modern worship songs.
